Obtaining a CCW (carry concealed weapons) permit in Northern CA is much easier than many bay area and Southern CA counties. You must schedule an appointment directly with the El Dorado County Sheriff Department, CCW division. You shall demonstrate good moral character, prove that you are an outstanding resident of El Dorado County, and be prepared to undergo a thorough and complete background check.
